Open Houses and observations

Observations for prospective students may be recommended to ensure the program is a good fit for your child. They will be scheduled by appointment Monday-Thursday during the school hours after we have received your application. Application Checklist

1-Submit the Online Application Form

Once your application has been processed (please allow for 2-3 business days), you will be notified if there is an available spot for your child.

2-Secure Your Spot

If space is available, you will be notified via email. You will have two weeks to confirm your spot by completing the following payments:

  • Registration Fee (non-refundable) $100 ($50 if registering in January or later).

  • June Tuition Deposit (non-refundable) Equivalent to one month’s tuition; this deposit will be applied to your child’s final month in the program (June).

Tuition and Refund Policies

Monthly Tuition Payments and Payment Options

  • Cheques: you have the option to provide post-dated cheques for the remaining months (e.g., September intake requires nine cheques dated from September 1 to May 1). Cheques should be made payable to University Hill Preschool.

  • E-Transfers: you can send monthly payments to universityhillpreschool@gmail.com and include your child’s name in the message for reference.

The tuition (excluding the non-refundable June deposit) is refundable if one month’s written notice is provided. For students scheduled to begin in September, notice of withdrawal must be received by July 31st.

No tuition refunds will be issued for April or May of the current school year unless written notice of withdrawal is given before February 28.

For extended absences, tuition payment is required to hold your child’s spot in the program.


Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available through the Ministry of Social Services for those who qualify. Please visit the Government of British Columbia website to find out more

Please bring all required items and completed forms to the Annual General Meeting or the Parents’ Social Get-Together. These dates will be shared via email to help you prepare.

For Mid-Year Start:

If your child is joining us mid-year, please have all items and completed forms ready by their first day of school.
